The Ontario champion began facing Quebec's winner for the right to advance to the Little League World Series in 1958. Prior to that point, the Ontario winner advanced to face leagues in Upstate New York as the International tournament progressed.
Glebe, which was chartered in 1955 and is the oldest league in Ottawa, defeated the Parkdale Lions in the 1958 Ontario championship game.
