Virginia officials expanded the number of districts in subsequent years, and District 15 was formed in 1994 from areas that were previously part of adjoining districts, including District 5 (Richmond area).
Today, District 15 encompasses thirteen counties that are adjacent to Chesapeake Bay or are near the tidal portion of the Potomac River.
Teams listed in bold also won a Virginia state tournament.
