The top four teams advance to the semifinal round.
Ties are broken based on records in head-to-head competition among tied teams. If a clear winner cannot be determined from head-to-head results, the tie is broken by calculating the ratio of runs allowed to defensive innings played for all teams involved in the tie. The team with the lowest runs-per-defensive-inning ratio advances.
In the event of a tie involving three or more teams, once the initial tie is broken, the remaining tied teams are again compared on head-to-head record to determine if a clear winner can be identified. If no clear winner can be identified from head-to-head results among the remaining tied teams, the runs-per-defensive-inning ratio is again used. This process is repeated until all ties have been broken.

Summary:
High Park Little League claimed their third Ontario championship in a four-year span with a 4-0 victory over East Nepean Little League in the Ontario championship game at Central Park in Windsor.
High Park swept to six consecutive victories at the provincial tournament, and extended their record against Ontario teams to 10-0 since the start of international tournament play. High Park advanced to the Canadian Region tournament in Valleyfield, Quebec, where the Braves eventually finished the tournament as the Canadian runner-up.
High Park opened and closed the provincial tournament with wins over East Nepean. The Braves topped their District 2 opponent, 6-2, in the tournament's first game, then won their four remaining round robin contests by a combined 65-7 margin. The string of victories earned High Park the top seed entering semifinal round competition, and the Braves ousted Brockville Little League, 16-2, before beating East Nepean again in the championship game.
High Park averaged over 16 runs per game at the provincial tournament against teams other than East Nepean, but scored just ten runs across two games against the Eagles. East Nepean finished round robin competition with a 4-1 record, then edged South Ottawa Little League, 9-7, in the other semifinal round game.
The provincial title was the sixteenth in High Park's history. The Braves have reached the Ontario championship game on 22 occasions, and have won four Canadian championships.
East Nepean reached the provincial championship game for the tenth time in their history. The Eagles have won three Ontario titles in the major baseball division, and were the Canadian champions in 2004 and 2013.
